Course: Introduction to Travel Training
Course Description: Basic Travel Training is a interactive course that introduces students to various modes of transportation that are used in the movement of people and packaging. Students will enter the world of transportation through the use of technology, classroom instruction and coordinated field experiences. Each student will leave the course, with a travel summary that highlights student's progressing the course and recommendations for continued practice in the home and school setting.
Audience: Middle & High School Students
Perquisite: Participant/Parent must complete a Travel Training Assessment
Length of Course: 3 weeks /12 hours (Classroom and field experiences)
Tuition $115.00 (Tuition, Books, T-shirt and fare media- Fort Bend Transit)
Transportation Costs to the training class optional $12.00 per day round trip)

Audience: Older Youth & Adults (19 and up)
Perquisite: Participant/Parent must complete a Travel Training Assessment
Participant must be able to: read and/or interpret basic street signs to effectively ride public transportation and tell time via digital or analog clock. Participants who are not fluent in reading/interpreting common street signs and can tell time are encouraged to enroll in this course but will be recommended for door-to-door transportation services at the conclusion of the training unless they have gained a thorough understanding of streets signs and telling time by the end of the course.
Length of Course: 4 weeks/20 hours (Classroom and Field Experiences Group)
